You can have just one animal and still be able to register it, but only as long as the animal meets the requirements of the breed association. As such, crossing a Hereford-Red Angus cow with a White/grey Brahman bull, or a Braford cow with an Angus bull or a Brangus cow with Hereford bull will produce a calf with this brindle phenotype.
