Any dark or darkish color is slimming, but it won't do the job alone. To appear thinner use the style of your clothing rather than depending on dark, perhaps dull colors. For example, clothing with straight up and down lines will make you appear thinner. Stay away from horizontal stripes, they make you look wider.

I believe you meant 'does wearing black make you look thinner'...the answer is yes. The opposite is true if you wear white.
Black, Brown, pink, blue, pretty much dark colours but don't use yellow or orange coz you'll be stuck.
The top (Black) will look black, the middle (Red) will look black and the bottom (Yellow) will look black. So basically, it will all look black because firstly, for red, red and blue are both primary colours and if 2 or 3(green) primary colours mix, the colour looks black. Secondly, for yellow, its made up of 2 primary colours (red and green) and they are both primary colours and, again, if 3 primary colours mix, they make black. Finally, Black will look the same, because black light is actually no light at all. Source: Completed a light test and topic at school. Doing a piece of homework to do with light.

Black looks great with everything except brown. Wearing black can make the person look mysterious and sometimes sexy. However it can also make the person look gloomy, so adding bright colours to black is better than dark colours such as brown
black will be nice... or other dark colours..... don't try bright ones though.... it will look awful...
