All of your major carriers have the latest models - Swift, Schneider, Werner, etc. If you're looking for a "rooster cruiser" with all the bells and whistles, you're not going to find many (if any) major carriers who do that, although some of the smaller carriers (particularly, small fleet owners who lease onto Landstar) may offer them. But, if you don't have any driving experience or OTR experience, you can pretty much give up on all hope of them hiring you. You have to start somewhere, and, to be honest, if you're considering driving OTR, you should be focused more on what is offered to you as a driver than how pretty the trucks are. If company A offers you 35 cents per mile to drive an older, but well maintained Freightliner, International, or whatever, and can even offer benefits to boot, you're going to be much better off than you would be working for the guy who owns a fleet of shiny new Peterbilt 379s or Kenworth W900Ls, pays 28 cents per mile, offers no benefits other than workman's comp, and is so picky about what loads he'll carry, you'll spend an excessive amount of time sitting at a truck stop. But still, better judgment escapes a lot of drivers out there, and they'll make detrimental choices for ridiculous reasons. For example, Swift drivers who'll quit working as company drivers, and go work for a lease/purchase owner leased to Swift, for the same (or even less pay), no benefits, no increase in pay as time goes by... all for the sake of being able to drive a few miles per hour faster. If those are the kind of decisions you're prone to making, this industry is not going to treat you well.
