A couple years ago, it would've been Swift Transportation. But they seem to be going more to the International ProStar. Knight Transportation/Squire Transportation would probably have the highest percentage of Volvo trucks in their fleet, although no real stats on this are published.
Mack trucks are produced by the Volvo Group. The Volvo Group is a publicly-held company headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. Volvo Shares are listed on OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm and are traded OTC in the US. http://www.macktrucks.com/default.aspx?pageid=1 That took me less than 3 seconds to find on Google. Next time use Google before asking a question and stop being lazy.
Most Volvo trucks on North American roads don't use a proprietary tail light... tail lights, aside from custom ones, are pretty universal. Yes, you should be able to, at least at some truck stops.
Most larger trucks burn diesel fuel.
Some brands include: Volvo, Freightliner, International, Peterbilt, Hino, and many others.
Ford sold Volvo to a Chinese company in 2010, for a loss of over 4 billion dollars. They were also known to have lifted several features off of Volvo for use on Ford vehicles. Most notably is the use of the I5 engine in the Ford Focus.
Most trucks and wheels will fit on any deck.
Volvo manufacture trucks (otherwise referred to as lorries), buses and construction equipment, e.g. bulldozers and excavators. They also provide engines for marine commercial use (as well as for leisure use) and industrial use. Volvo also manufacture estate cars which could be used for light commercial use, but it would be dependent on how you wished to use the vehicle as to whether it would be suitable.
I drive a tow truck and have done several Volvo trucks, easiest way is to spread open the door with an airbag and use a long rod to reach in and move the lock, takes 30 seconds.
Yes, for the most part, they use one or the other of those. It's more common for big "trucks" (tractors) to use diesel fuel.
There's nothing special about it. It's not microchipped, or anything of that sort. As for finding out if you can get blanks, or if you'd have to get one ordered from a dealer specifically for a certain truck, you'd have to contact a Volvo Trucks dealer - I really don't have the answer to that.
