Citrus Fruit

One type of food that conduct electricity is citrus fruit. The acidity of citrus fruit juice acts as an electrolyte that conducts electricity. Citrus fruits such as Oranges, grapefruits, limes and lemons have high acidity levels. One lemon can produce 7/10 of one volt of electricity. Electrical power increases as you connect more fruits.

Almost every kitchen appliance uses electricity. The microwave converts electricity into light, which in turn is converted into heat. The stove, if it's an electric stove, uses the friction of electrons through a conductor in order to make heat. If you have a gas stove, an electric spark lights the gas. A toaster uses an electric current through metal coils to heat food. An oven does the same thing, converting the electricity into heat by running it through a piece of metal. Even a grill, which uses a hydrocarbon (see related link) or wood/charcoal, is started using an electric spark, such as from a lighter. Even some kitchen sinks, ones with food disposals, contain electric components. The water, however, is pressurized by the local water supplier, and the pressure is released manually (unless, of course, you have an automatic sink, which would use more electricity). Coffee makers use electricity in order to run the mechanics and computations necessary to make your coffee on time. A dishwasher uses electric circuits in order to complete all of the actions involved in a complete cycle, such as turning the water on or off. A table, however, uses little to no electricity.
