What confirms a conclusion?

In science, nothing confirms a conclusion. Science only has confidence in a conclusion and that conclusion is the domain of statistical analysis.

The Black Swan Theory addresses the inability to confirm conclusions. "Black swan" was an old term that was once use to mean something that does not exist until living black swans were discovered in Australia in the 17th century. The Black Swan Theory is the idea that simply because something has never been seen before does not preclude that it can never occur.
