It is believed that there is a black hole in the constellation of Cygnus (the Swan), the strong X ray source Cygnus X-1 is believed to be a binary system where one component is a black hole. (see the link Below).

There is also a super-massive black hole in the center of our galaxy (the Milky Way) this is to be found in the constellation of Sagittarius and is called Sagittarius A*. (see the link below).

The constellation Cygnus (the Swan) is home to Cygnus X-1, an x-ray source, studies of which are generally recognized as providing the first solid observational evidence of the existence of a black hole.

Is a cygnus the same thing as a black hole?

"Cygnus" is the latin word for "swan." It is the name given to a constellation in our skies. Within this constellation is a major source of x-rays; the source of which was eventually regarded as a black hole. This was the first object that most astronomers concluded was unambiguously a black hole, a conclusion reached about thirty years ago.

How are black holes named?

The only "named" black hole is called "Cygnus X-1", for the first X-ray source in the constellation Cygnus.

What would happen if a black hole was too close to a star in a constellation?

If a star was "too close" to a black hole, that star would be captured by the black hole's gravity and be pulled into it.

What is the first known black hole?

Which is the biggest known black hole in the universe?

The supermassive black hole that hosts the galaxy NGC 1277, in the constellation Perseus, is currently the largest black hole in our visible universe with a mass equivalent to 17 billion suns. In 2012, astronomers have discovered this small galaxy about 250 million light-years from Earth.

Who is the first man in the black hole?

Nobody has ever visited a black hole. The nearest known black hole is many light years away. Much to far away for us to reach it.

Is there a black hole at the center of canis major?

Canis Major is a constellation, therefore there is no centre.

Where is the galactic center in the constellation of Sagittarius?

The black hole Sag A* is considered to be at the center of our galaxy.

What are some unanswered questions about the constellation Draco?

There are still some unanswered questions about the constellation draco. Many want to know how it happened and if the black hole had any effect on the constellation.

What is the closest black hole?

In April 2008 NASA discovered the smallest black hole ever. The black hole, called XTE J1650-500, is15 miles across. It is located in Ara, a constellation in the Milky Way Galaxy.

What is the largest known black hole?

due to the nature of black holes(whether they are high energy or high mass) it is not easily determinable how big a black hole is volume wise. most theories point to a Singularity Principle which means all of the mass within a black hole is packed into an extremely high density point which cannot be given a volume due to its extremely small size.

Did something ever get sucked into a black hole?

Yes. Matter falls into black holes all the time; the first known black hole was the "Cygnus X1" black hole, which was discovered by the X-ray emissions caused by matter being pulled off the companion star and falling into the black hole.
