no? Edit: Because a long time ago their was a gigantic continent called Pangea. As the tectonic plates slowly formed the continent we know now. They began to split again to form what is now the Amazon River, which is slowly growing and will eventually split into another continent and or move as will the other continents.
the Amazon River doesn't "live" anywhere because it's not alive...it does run through South America though
