The oldest St. Petersberg is in Russia and I believe it is named for Peter the Great. The other well known St. Petersberg is in Florida, USA and very close to Tampa. There may be other St. Petersberg's in the world but I don't know of them.
Yes, St. Petersburg, Russia is named after Peter the Great. It is made of 141 islands with canals and was literally dug out of the mud by the serfs of Russia. Many died building it. It is the northern most city in Europe and only 500 miles from the Arctic circle. I went to St. Petersburg and it is a beautiful city with pastel colored buildings of green, pinks, blues, yellows. It is a city of palaces. The winter palace of Katherine the Great is now the Hermitage museum one of the world's greatest museums. Outside the city is the palace of Peter the Great.
