after the World War 1 Germany was severly punished.she had to pay huge amounts of money as compensation for the war.

Her military forces were brought down,her airforces were reduced and the submarines were completely banned.

The Germans felt humiliated by the treaty of versailles,so they belived only a leader with absolute power can restore their past glory.

And as Hitler was an exellent orator his speeches,the brown shirts and the Swasthika flag appealed to them.

this paved way for the rise of hitler
