Well......it depends.
ECU (Electronic Control Unit) - controls engine by determining the amount of fuel, ignition timing and other parameters, by monitoring an engine through sensors, and reading values from multidimensional maps.
The sensors in question include.
IAC (Idle Air Control)
**MAF (Mass Air Flow) A mass air flow sensor is used to find out the mass of air entering a fuel-injected engine. The air mass information is necessary for the engine control unit (ECU) to balance and deliver the correct fuel mass to the engine. Air changes its density as it expands and contracts with temperature and pressure. In automotive applications, air density varies with the ambient temperature and altitude, and this is an ideal application for a mass sensor.
**MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) one of the sensors used in an internal combustion engine's electronic control system. Engines that use a MAP sensor are typically fuel injected. The manifold absolute pressure sensor provides instantaneous manifold pressure information to the engine's electronic control unit (ECU). The data are used to calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate, which in turn determines the required fuel metering for optimum combustion.
many more sensors meter and/or control the Fuel injection system.
(**) symbolizes it is a single or combination or the items marked.
Yes, it is fuel injected.
Yes it has fuel injection ( 8 fuel injectors )
It is under the hood on the drivers side. The Fuel Pump fuse and Relay are located in that fuse block. The fuel pump fuse is # 20 and the relay is located below fuse # 25. The ECU fuse is # 56 which also controls the fuel pump.
where is the oil pressure switch on my 96 Yukon
96 EB Bronco 5.8L EFI what is the standard fuel pressure
Its in the troudle fuel injection body if its factory there should be a white plug in it.The computer controls it. It has a little value in it that moves in and out for more air or less air. that gives curb idle speed.
Yes, the last carburetor put in an vehicle was the 94 Subaru Justy.
To my knowlege the spider fuel injector system came out in the 96 models. 1995 still had the throttle body injection.
usually related to fuel injection or smog control. check O2 sensor or catilitic converter first.dirty gas grunge also build up in the arms of the fuel injection system. if a injection cleaner doesn't work, they need to be physically cleaned.
Assuming we are talking about a 4.3L engine, the 96 would be CFI (Central Fuel Injection) and the 95 would be TBI (Throttle Body Injection). The engine would bolt in but all the electronics including the fuel pump and fuel lines would also have to be swapped, or swap the 95 throttle body unit over to the 96 engine.
Chandge the fuel filter first then try running some injector cleaner through it. If that doesn't work a mechanic will have to look at it.
no because in 1996 gm switched the fuel injection to sequential fuel injection. If you will look on the 97 block there will be a cam sensor on the right side (passenger). the cam sensor was not put there until 96. the 94-95 did not have this. However I believe you could use the wiring harness and ECM from the 94 as well to get you going. Hope this helps
