Years 1997-2000 is green coolant. I don't know the newer vehicles.
If it still has the original DexCool coolant, it would be a pinkish/red.
Do you mean oil in the coolant? If so, you have a blown head gasket, cracked head, or both.
Most 2000 GM cars were filled with the RED Dexcool coolant. Using the standard green fluid after the Dexcool has been used can lead to clogged coolant passages and destroy the engine.
