Unless you know the depth of the standing water, don't drive through. You risk being stranded in the middle of the water and need to be rescued.
Slow down and proceed cautiously. Don't enter standing water unless you known the depth - too deep and you could stall in the middle of the water. Be aware that vehicles approaching could create a bow wave that might swamp your engine. If possible stay on the crown of the road, where, due to the camber, the depth of water is likely to be shallower than the sides of the road.
