Make sure the old gasket is off.Let me elaborate on the answer above: If your old oil filter was a FRAM this could be the problem. It is a known issue that often with these filters the old gasket will often become detached from the filter & remain on the car when you change the oil filter, thus preventing the new filter from making a secure seal. Check the old oil filter if you still have it, to be sure that it has its gasket intact. If the gasket is missing, that means it is still on your car. You will have to re-do the oil change process as you need to remove the old gasket before reinstalling the new. Good Luck.I believe you received the wrong filter. You probably have the oil filter for a 2.0L. And as stated above Fram has had problems with applications before. I suggest on using a mobil1 oil filter, because it is shorter than a fram filter while still working better. You can install it without removing the O2 sensor.-- I had the same problem, I thought the cure was what the above answer suggests. Unfortunately it turns out that I had a major leak from the front head gasket. Fixing the head gasket cut down my oil consumption considerably. If changing the oil filter does not fix the problem then this can be another consideration as on my '97 Sebring convertible the head gasket seemed to leak right on top of the oil filter area.

In steam engines you must superheat the steam to vaporize all of the microscopic water droplets suspended in it from when the steam was initially produced in the boiler. If this is not done those water droplets will pit the pistons and valves (or the turbine blades) eventually causing severe damage and possibly catastrophic failure of the steam engine.
