It is possible that surgery could be done to fix it somewhat, but also maybe not. Your uterus is help up by two tendons and depending on why it dropped there may not be much that can be done. You might want to experiment with different positions and also try less penetration. They make rings that go around the penis for men who are too long for their partners, try using one of those and seeing if that doesn't make up for your shortened vagina. If your doctor did not offer any advice, I would seek a second opinion and maybe another doctor.
