No, because it is considered bribing, and even if you could, I doubt a parent would give up a child for money if they are suing or have custody in the first place. If you want said child, you can sue for custody of the child. If you cannot gain custody, then the next best thing to do is sue for visitation. It's not legal to pay a parent to relinquish custody of a child in any state! But if the parent in question has a child support award, he or she will be free of paying child support or being in any way responsible for the child from that day forward.
It depends on what the parent did. If the parent abused the child during the punishment, then yes, they can be arrested.
My personal opinion on this is when a parent tells a child they are going to leave them someplace. Depending on the age most children feel at that point that the parent is abandoning them. You can see the fear in their eyes, but that is worse thing that can happen to a kid. The next thing is when a parent tells them they are stupid. This sticks with a child and they will believe it to be true. Once that is set it is hard to change that "tape" in their head and it will keep them from being successful. The absolute worse thing a parent can say to their child is "I,m not mad at you, I'm not upset with you I'm disappointed in you." Because then you can't change their minds. I wish you were never born.
i think the real question is whats best for the child which i think is too often not asked - if your job keeps you away from a young child for long periods of time, if its possible you could be deployed without your child, then perhaps its best for the child to be with the other parent - rather than think what you want please do consider the best interest of the child - please do talk it out with the other parent and your child and do whatever is the best thing for all
If the child cries every night at bedtime, it could have colic. Colic will normally resolve itself in time. The important thing for the parent to do is be patient.
Being a foster parent is a good thing to do; it might be hard, but isn't all parenting? (It really depends on the child and how they were brought up before.) The hardest thing might be giving the child up after your time with him/her has passed.
Genetics is a crazy thing.
No. Nor in any state. Now a person could have a note from a parent authorizing him/her to care for the child in the parent's absence. But that is not the same thing as "legal guardianship". More like "long term babysitter".
You could ask your parent. That would be the smart thing.
If the minor father has no means of paying child support, then yes his parents could be responsible for that. Answer2: Sadly the parents could be on the hook especially if the minor child lives with them and has no way to support a baby. Best thing you can do is try to meet with the other grandparents and see what can be done as well as make a visit to Social Services to see what benefits the child may be eligible for.
you call the police. its the only normal thing to do if the parent is badly injured. in which case you would call an ambulance too.
