I have a 95, had a misfire... mine was because of the plug wires... changed the wires and plugs mis fire stopped...
P0308 is cylinder #8 misfire. See related question below for info about misfires.
It depends on what caused the misfire, and it depends on what you mean. If you are having constant misfires, then there is either something wrong with your ammo, or there is something wrong with the pistol. If you mean what is the proper procedure for clearing a misfire, then you keep the gun pointed in a safe direction and rack the slide to eject the bad round, or open the cylinder and eject it if it is a revolver.
P030* basically means a cylinder has a misfire. P0301 is cylinder #1, P0302 is #2, and so on. P0300 means that there are random misfires caused by a vacuum or compression leak, little or no spark, etc.
The heater core will not have an effect on the check engine light. See related question below for more info on misfires and engine light.
With multiple misfires originating from the same coil pack, my guess would be to replace the driver's side coil pack.
I talked to mechanic and he fixed 5th cylinder misfire on Dodge engine by changing chank shaft postition sensor. It came out on code reader though.
It means that more than one cylinder has a misfire history. PO301 would be cylinder number 1 misfire. PO302 would be number 3 cylinder misfire.
