What could be wrong if a 2001 Jetta radio doesn't work after changing the alternator battery spark plugs and starter if the fuse does not appear to be blown?
you need to reprogram your radio when the battery has been disconnected - see owners manual
not enough info; It could be many many things Right it could be a lot of things. Here's a list to help you get started. 1) Dirty terminals? Check your terminals do they appear clean? Are they tight? Check your wires. While it's running take a voltmeter put the positive to the alternate and the negative on the negative battery terminal. If you don't get a reading you have a wire problem or the alternators…
Why would a dodge neon 2000 engine light go on then when the car is turned off it will not start for along time why?
What i would do first is to check the primary electrical system for any loose conections, battery alternator and starter. If they appear to be ok. Then check the primary system with a code tester. If you do not have one get one. If you do not feel your confident to do yourself take to a certified mechanic. My guest is that your starter is going bad. good luck!
What could cause the idiot lights on the instrument panel of your 1993 Volvo 240 to come on and stay lit while the car is running when the problems indicated by the lights do not appear to exist?
This sounds like a bad alternator or bad electrical connection to the alternator. First check your battery voltage with the engine at idle. It should be about 13.6v-14.2v. All the idiot lights get their ground through the "battery" failure light. That is often caused by a bad connection of the small red wire at the back of the alternator. Most likely brushes are worn down on your voltage regulator. Replace it, fairly easy job, two…
Saturn that is losing power when the radio air lights and blinker runs the alternator is replaced the battery is charged but it is still doing it what is wrong?
How can you tell if your alternator is bad even if you replaced the battery on a 2000 Mercury cougar?
I've had this problem several times before. The most common reason is the battery cables are loose and while you are driving vibrate just enough to loose connection but the vehicle keeps running if the alternator is good. Then when you restart the van, no connection, or limited one at best and not enough power. I would suggest replacing the terminal ends if they appear worn or damaged. There are other possibilities however such as…
