it can be many things. Have the ECU scanned with an OBD2 scan tool and this will retrieve the code set by the ECU. This code will tell you what is being effected and help you to determine what is wrong.
Probably a vacuum leak. Do you have a code P0171 or P0174?
it could be your emission check sensor
Could be many reasons. If there is an check engine light, have the code pulled with a ODB2 scanner from any local garage. Reference that code with what it means and you have a better idea where to look to solve the problem.
Need to check the EGR Valve. How about the FUEL FILTER is it clean ?
fuel system check engine light on was diagnose as being the fuel sensor now car cuts off while driving What would be the problems? You think maybe the fuel sensor could be bad? It's nice when the check engine light gives you the answer
If the Yukon engine has high rpm while driving, check the transmission for slippage, that will cause the engine to over rev. The overheating could be caused by the high rpms.
It could be the distributor cap. you should check your spark plugs. could be bad or just got wet after washing engine compartment.
Does the (check engine )stay lit when you start from cold if not then check the engine oxygen sensor may need replacing or the turbo has been replaced and could be blowing out the spark
An engine cylinder misfire has been detected if your check engine light is flashing ( I'm not a mechanic / technician but it could be a spark plug , spark plug wire , the fuel mixture , or some other problem )
This could be a way of describing severe hesitation / engine misfiring. See "Related Questions" below for the basics of what to check for...
Ideally you would want to know why the check engine light is on. It could be something serious or it may not be. Are there any other symtoms/noises? It could be one of many things. The engine needs to be scanned for the error codes and a diagnosis can be made from there. Autozone or Advance auto will pull the codes for free. Hope this helps. "G"
Need to check the EGR valve. It sounds like it is opening to quick.
