High revs in first gear on your Toyota RAV4 could be caused by several factors, such as a malfunctioning throttle position sensor, issues with the transmission, or a problem with the engine's air-fuel mixture. Additionally, if the vehicle is in "eco" mode or has a performance issue, it could cause the engine to rev higher before shifting. It's advisable to check for any diagnostic trouble codes and consult a mechanic to accurately diagnose and resolve the issue. Regular maintenance can also help prevent such problems.

Hello, Jamison here, Sounds like the A/C compressor is SHOT.
Just depends on what you want, a superchager will supply torque from low revs all the way to the red line, while a turbo will normally lag on lower revs and then kick in. My turbo only kicks in at 2300 rpm, so the first few seconds there's about no power. A supercharger will also make a nice sound!!
Vacuum leak or blown intake gasket.
