Irritable Bowel Syndrome. There is actually no such thing as IBS (my gastrologist confirmed this) and it's basically saying 'We don't really know why your bowel is inflammed.' There are parasites and there is a bacteria called 'C-dif' that can be caused from too many bouts of antibiotics, picked up in hospitals or nursing homes. If one has a good immune system they could have it, but never know it, but when a person immune system is low then they can have constant diarrhea, put on heavy-duty 'good' antibiotics to see if they can get rid of this. It's to anyone's best interest to have a doctor send you to a lab to be checked for C-dif. It is important that the stool culture is examined at the lab within the hour!

I have taken Airborne as needed to prevent colds for several years now and have been thrilled with the result. However, after having taken it twice a day for about a week straight as I was traveling, I started having severe cramping and diarrhea. My doctor thought it was traveler's diarrhea and gave an antibiotic. Since then I have taken Airborne periodically and the diarrhea has returned every time with stomach pain in the exact location. I don't know if the Airborne tablets are the cause or if they are triggering a different problem, but I'm going to layoff the Airborne for a while.
If you have severe acid reflux, that means acid from your stomach comes up your esophagus. That could cause occasional vomiting. It can cause damage to your esophagus over time. If you suspect you have severe or mild acid reflux, you should see a doctor. You stomach makes a new layer of mucus every 2 weeks so it won't digest itself.
