Probably the wrong bulbs or the brake lights are getting stuck "on". Or maybe a combination of the two.
Check that you have the right bulbs and check to make sure something isn't keeping the brake lights on.

Im not sure i have the same issue... let me know if you get an answer email me at csaulspaypal@yahoo.com Thanks and good luck ill let you know if i find out anything
The most likely cause is a defective brake light switch; It is located towards the top of the brake pedal.
A bad fuel pump can cause stalling. The oil pressure will show low oil on the lights or gauges but if the pressure is ok then the switch should not cause stalling.
Yes.
fuse, bulbs
what causes a roaring sound in a 2004 pontiac sunfire after it warms up? it runs great and idles great and quiet except for this.Anonymously
Check the bulbs, if they are okay it is prob the brake light switch located under the dash so the brake pedal arm contacts it
brake light switch would be most common cause
There are a couple of things that can cause your Pontiac antilock brakes to lock up. The most common cause is a malfunctioning ABS sensor.
Old age and vibration, I'd guess. All of mine were out too. The PONTIAC on the trunk lid wouldn't light up. I replaced the bulbs and now it does. For what it's worth, it's Way Cool when the PONTIAC does light up!
BAD BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AT TOP OF BRAKE PEDAL
The BOO (Brake On/Off) Switch may need to be replaced. If it is bad, it would cause the brake lights to NOT illuminate when the brake pedal is applied.
