Damaged gears in the transfer case.
Could be your alternator problem.

You shouldn't worry about it. This model of car sometimes does things like this but its not a big deal at all. The most common cause is the CV joints. They have a finite life and cannot be lubricated. Full replacement is the only solution. By the way, DO BOTH SIDES!
tie rod.... your tie rod rubber wore out...needs anew rubber or new tie rod
Either, the rear bearing is dead or you need to change the brake shoes.
if it not nocking of macking noises it probably just needs a tune up
if the 4x4 isn't working then you need to check your transfer case. is it making any noises? or did it just stop working?
