All Toyota Camry's have struts in the front. This is also accompanied with strut mounts and bearings that are located between the mount & strut. I highly recommend replacing the mounts & strut bearings with the struts. My experience has shown that the mounts fail before the strut.
Frozen strut?AnswerCheck ur lugnuts, they may be loose. AnswerCheck the bearings by pushing each tire. If one moves in more than the others it should be the one with the bad bearings. Your tire might have a bubble in it. Inspect all of your tires for slashes or bumps on the side wall.
The rear strut bearings are failing causing clunks and creaks (fronts do the same thing). With that many miles, change the bearings and the strut.
problem could be the rear strut
Check for movement in the ball joints, antiroll bar bushes and linkage, could also be strut-top bearings. There is the possibility it could be worn/damaged shock absorbers.
A broken strut can cause the tire to crash into the wheel well. This can cause loss of control of the vehicle and it can cause the axle to break.
Driving with a broken strut can lead to a loss of vehicle control, as the strut is responsible for supporting the weight of the vehicle, maintaining tire alignment, and absorbing shocks from the road. It can cause a bumpy and uncomfortable ride, increased stopping distance, and uneven tire wear. Continued driving with a broken strut can further damage other suspension components and potentially lead to a loss of control. It is crucial to have a broken strut repaired as soon as possible.
Upper strut bearings seizing, driveshaft issues, front end parts seizing are things to check. Also check to see if struts were installed correctly and there are no loose or missing pieces.
Bad strut or strut mount? Check for loose undercarriage components
The front hub has to be removed , the bearings are pressed in .This should be done at a local Auto shop . you must remove the wheel , the tie rod and the strut , what i did was remove the whole strut assembly from the top and remove the bottom tie rod and I sent the whole thing into the shop to get the bearings pressed in , when it comes back simply reverse the procedure , be sure to check the tie rods before completing installation of strut
Not sure what you mean by the steering wheel turning "more than it is supposed to". If it feels sloppy, it could be caused by several steering components. On a '94, I'd certainly check ball joints, tie rod ends and strut bearings for looseness.
Maybe tirod end or ball joint Check strut bearings.
