ANYTHING could happen. What is likely, is that the dose would be wrong, they might not be honest about reporting side-effects, or even understand what unrelated things could BE a side effect; and do harm from continuing the medication, despite their body's warnings. Large doses damage the heart, the metabolism, and the digestive track. Overuse can cause the same results as ... meth use- Google a few of those images. Mostly they are a quick motivator (you drop a 1/4 pound a week faster than without them) and not worth the risks to most overweight people. Which is why they only prescribe them after a Body Mass Index, to assure that the slight added weightloss is balanced with the higher, long-term cardiovascular and metabolic risks.
