You should see your health care professional/doctor to find out. This can be something serious, especially since the bleeding lasted 2 hours. It could be either a problem with high blood pressure or with your clotting factors in your blood, or it could be something much less serious like allergens in the environment irritating the tissue in your nose. Make an appointment.
There are any number of reasons people suffer nose bleeds, ranging from climate, blood disorders and medications. A person that has nose bleed that lasts two hours continuously (assuming you were trying to stop the nose bleed and not blowing your nose during the bleed) should be seen by a doctor to determine the underlying cause.
The cause could be dry heat. If you have too many heaters running in your house for a long period of time, you could have a nosebleed. If you need all of those heaters, go and get a humidifier online. This should keep moisture in the air,and stop the nosebleeds. It could also be the outcome of too much nose blowing. You always need a little bit of mucus in your nose.
Haha, that happened to me once. Except my nose bleed lasted about 3 hours, on and off. Nothing much happened. The blood clots came out, it bled a little bit more, then stopped. Don't worry about it. Blood clots are a good sign, it shows you're healing properly. They only form because, as you have your head back, the blood has no where to run out so clots in big lumps in your nose.

Just miscarried today at six weeks. I woke up covered in blood. Went to the bathroom. I could feel the blood clots as they passed so they were pretty big. I have been aware of it for three hours and I am still passing big clots of blood.

Probably nothing, but could be a sign of infection. If the blood clots have a white center, you may have miscarried. If you miscarried though it would be very painful and you'd fill more then 2 super maxi pads in 2 hours. My period has blood clots all the time and I am healthy- my gyn said that's normal.
Of course, any surgical incision or surgical equipment used on the body can cause bruising. The physiology of how a bruise forms remains the same, no matter how the bruise is caused. It will always be an injury to small blood vessels that bleed into surrounding tissues. Even though the body clots the blood, the bruise has already begun but may not be visible for 24 hours.
