Depending upon the year, it could say Regal, or Grand National. Most 1986s will say Grand National on the title. 1987 is particularly confusing, some have it, some do not. The best way to confirm that you have a grand national and not a Buick regal Turbo is to check the build sticker on the driver door or the trunk lid. if you see a code "WE2" in all the option codes you have a real Grand National.
I have the same problem- press on the brake, no brake lights. Press on the brake and pull back on turn signal/high beams lever, brake lights turn on! Jiggle the lever, brake lights turn on, but left turn signal does not work. I have replaced the switch that is down near the brake pedal and that is not the problem. I think you may need to replace the whole turn signal/high beams/cruise control switch....or at least that's what I'm going to try.
n. I/We did it in Orlando out of Performance Clinic where the "Turbo Doctor was out of with his Reagal's. Tim was the Aspirated guy. Just get different piston's(higher compression one's). Do the c.c equation's when you do. A smig'of machine work block-mostly heads to intake(watch push-rod gally holes/area. Get controlled Lifter's(Roller's y comp) and your in like flin. Thanks Yes, all Olds heads are the same size and bolt pattern. 77-up small blocks use 1/2" head boltsvs. 7/16" on 76-older blocks. You can drill early heads for the larger bolts. As others have noted, big block heads have 80cc chambers vs. 64-ish chambers on 70-earlier SBO heads. The BBO heads also have larger ports that a street-driven 350 will be hard-pressed to use. The Performer RPM and some factory intakes are the only ones with enough meat to port-match to the BBO ports. Failing to do this matching will negate any flow benefits. As others have noted, simply maching the SBO heads for the big block valves is a much cheaper way out (and is what the factory did on the W-31). __________________Joe Padavano62 F-85 Deluxe wagon (the NV desert car)62 F-85 Deluxe wagon (the San Jose car)64 Vista Cruiser64 Jetstar 88 Conv66 442 L-69 Conv68 W-3069 H/O69 44270 W-3072 44284 Custom Cruiser86 Caprice wagon (w/307 Olds)
