Cars that have a transmission that is self lubricating are the best cars for flat towing. Transmissions that do not have this feature can be damaged during flat towing.
The thing that could cause a knocking noise in your car is the same thing that could cause it in all cars A rod that or a flat lifter. it all really depends on where the knock is if its higher and to the back of the motor, it could be a motor mount
I know it makes a difference when i go up hills or get to speed at a "normal" rate for most cars, too fast for neons. They like to eat gas if you're not going flat and same speed constantly. Of course there could be another reason but my 2002 SXT does the same thing.
Without seeing a particular set it is difficult to say just what cars are in a set. For example if it is a freight set it might have box cars, flat cars, hopper cars, tank cars, bulkhead flat cars, spine cars or a caboose, and of course a locomotive to pull it all with.

There is no curve in the lower back it is called flat back. It is something that doesn't need correcting. I would rather have a flat back then be lordic. Lordic is when there is a curve in the lower back and it does need to be corrected.
