Europe is a continent. It does not have members. It has countries. The European Union is an organisation. Its members are all countries. All countries that are in the European Union are European countries. Not all European countries are members of the European Union. 28 countries are members of the European Union. They are:

The countries in Europe that are members of the EU are:GermanyFranceUKIrelandSpainItalyBelgiumNetherlandsLuxembourgAustriaHungarySwedenFinlandDenmarkEstoniaLatviaLithuaniaPolandGreeceRomaniaBulgariaCyprusCzech RepublicMaltaPortugalSlovakiaSloveniaCroatia
Asia has 48 countries and the EU, which is an organisation that has some of Europe's countries as members, has 28 countries. Europe itself, has about 50 countries and 6 dependent territories.
One is the term of a group of countries and a union. The other is a term used for a continent. Not all European countries are members of the EU.
The EU is the European Union, an organisation which has 27 of Europe's countries as members. The Euro is used as the currency of 17 of those countries and so it is one of the official currencies of the European Union. The EU is the European Union, an organisation which has 27 of Europe's countries as members. Many countries in Europe are not members of the EU. Most notable for declining in membership in votes amongst their citizens has been Norway.
That is not possible. The European Union is an organisation that has 28 countries that are members. Europe is a continent with about 50 countries. So a large amount of Europe's countries are not members of the European Union and so they cannot participate it the things it does.

Holland, i.e. the Netherlands, was one of the founding members of the EU. It's probably Israel in answer to the question. The competition is a European one, not just EU, so there are many countries in Europe outside the EU that compete, like Belarus, Serbia and Switzerland. The three countries that compete that are not in Europe are Israel, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The two that compete that are only partly in Europe are Turkey and Russia.
In 2005, there were 25 countries in the EU.
Yes. Not all countries in Europe are in the European Union.
The European Economic Community, or EEC, was founded in 1957 by 6 countries. It now has 27 members and is known as the European Union. So there is no real difference as such. The EU is just the modern name for what was the EEC.
