This subject concerns history -- it does not belong here.

However, the question is interesting. It is almost impossible to answer verbally, in text. It requires a series of maps, showing the European continent and its political subdivisions before, during, and after the Napoleonic wars.

But briefly, the land "controlled" by Napoleon at the height of his domain included France and the following CONQUERED areas: all of Spain, all of Switzerland, all of Netherlands, all of what we now call Belgium, almost all of what we now know as Italy (the mainland "boot", as well as Corsica, but not including Sicily or Sardinia), much of what we now call Germany (in an agglomeration Napoleon called "the Confederation of the Rhine" -- most of the German city states, principalities, and ecclesiastical holdings, but excluding Prussia), and a country then called Croatia, which ran in a strip from Switzerland, west thru parts of what we now call Austria and Italy, all of Slovenia, and a strip of present-day Croatia along the north-eastern Adriatic Sea. This was all in one contiguous area. In addition was a non-contiguous conquered area called the Duchy of Warsaw (much of present-day Poland), separated from the rest of Napoleon's holdings by a strip of Prussia.

There were two other types of area "controlled" by Napoleon: first, there was one country (Denmark/Norway, with its holding, Iceland) that became Napoleon's "voluntary ally" to avoid being attacked and conquered; second, there were large land-masses occupied at one time or another by Napoleon's armies, portions of countries that were never completely or formally "conquered". This included large portions of the Austria-Hungarian Empire, Russia, and others.

Once again, for a better understanding, try looking up maps of Europe from 1800 to 1815.
