The dont have access to clean water. They have to walk miles to get a tiny amount of water. In some places it takes all day to fetch the water and bring it home. Once it's home the usually have it sitting out in open where it gives a good breeding ground for Mosquitos. Many of the people are dipping their hands in and out of the water, and their hands are unsanitary because they dont have access to good hygiene and access to doctors and access to cleaning or toilet facilities. So when they touch the water they are making the water unsanitary. The Mosquitos infect people with malaria. The basis is that these people live in poverty. Poverty that Americans rarely see or know about. People are living with no access to education, health Care, food, nutrients, safe water, sanitary conditions, etc. There are ways to keep the water safe and clean but it takes volunteers and donations to make it happen
