The largest, well known dinosaur is Argentinosaurus, which hails from Argentina. A poorly preserved femur from a dinosaur called Amphicoelias was discovered about a hundred years ago, which has since been lost to science. From descriptions of it, the bone could have come from an even larger dinosaur. Amphicoelias comes from North America.
