Drakensberg is located in Africa, specifically in South Africa. It is a mountain range that stretches along the eastern part of the country.
Table Mountain, Drakensberg, Cedarberg etc The Drakensberg ('Dragon's Mountain) goes right around the country - east coast, south coast, and west coast. Parts of it may have different names, like on the western side, but is still part of the Drakensberg.

The highest mountain range is the Drakensberg. The highest peak in the Drakensberg is Mafadi. Mafadi is however technically not within South Africa, but just across the border in Lesotho. The easiest approach route to Mafadi is to hike from the South African side.
