What does this mean in a crochet pattern dc in each dc across and in top of ch-3?

Do a double crochet stitch in every chain stitch until you reach the end of the row. When you come up to the chain three that you did at the end of the previous row, look at where you chained 3 and then do a dc in the last chain stitch of your chain 3.

Crochet single crochet one row and double next?

That is a long stitch. Just count 4 rows down and insert your hook in the stitch in line with the stitch on your present row but on the row 4 rows down. You will have to work very loosely and pull up your golden loop so that your stitches on the present row remain even and your work doesn't pull in.

How do you crochet the second row?

The technique for crocheting a second row in a piece differs for each stitch. For example, for single crochets, you go up one chain, turn and go into the first loop on your piece (the top that looks like a braid or a v). For double crochet, you generally chain up 3 and go into the second stitch of the row. The number of chains needed may vary depending on the personal tension of the crocheter and how tall your stitches are. However, it is important to note that in single crochet, the chain up does NOT count as a stitch and in double and triple crochet it does. This makes a difference in which stitch is worked as your final stitch of the succeeding rows. If you miss the last stitch, or you go into the wrong first stitch, you will lose or add stitches on each row causing your work to go in directions you did not plan. You might like to check tutorials on Youtube which demonstrate the technique.

You are looking for the name of this crochet stitch it looks like a three d box?

You're looking for a crochet stitch which looks like a 3-D box, the best I can think of is a filet crochet stitch (which is made up of mesh and boxes), but that would be a 2-D box, not a 3-D box. The most common filet crochet box would be 3 double crochets; then a double crochet and two chain stitches (which would skip over two stitches in the row below). This would make a box and then a mesh in your project.

How do you do front post crochet stitches?

From my web site Crochet Cabana.yo, insert hook into the back of your stitch (in other words from back to front), go in front of the post, pull through (3 loops on hook) bringing stitch up to height of previous stitch, yo, pull through 2 loops (2 loops remaining),yo, pull through remaining 2 loops to complete stitchThere is a video demonstration of this method on the web site and at my YouTube channel.

How do you crochet with your finger?

To crochet using your fingers only, use the same procedure as when using a hook, but just use your fingers instead. You will end up using your forefinger as a "hook" holding the parts of the stitch on your finger, and "hooking" your finger to "draw through" the material to make the stitch. I would hazard that the "best" stitches to make using a finger crochet technique would be the shorter stitches--slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet. I think that with taller stitches, you might begin to not have room on your forefinger to "hold" the loops necessary to make the stitches. Look at the attached video link and see finger crocheting single crochet stitches is being done.

What does this mean in a crochet pattern holding the last lp of each st on the hook sk next 2 sc 3tr in next sc?

I believe this would be: hold the last loop of each stitch on hook (which means to stop one short when doing your final pulling though for the stitch) skip next two single crochet (meaning to simply not do anything in those next two single crochet stitches and jump over them.) three triple crochet in next single crochet. (meaning to make three triple crochet stitches in the next single crochet after the ones you skipped.) I hope this will clear that up.

What is a slanted stitch in crochet?

A slip stitch in crochet is one of the simplest stitches besides the chain. How to do/perform the slip stitchInsert the hook end of the needle into a stitch from the previous row (or chain).Wrap the yarn around the hook by wrapping it up and over.Use the hook to pull the yarn that was just wrapped through both of the other loops on the hook.

How do you place a marker in a sc when crocheting?

Do not use a closed stitch marker, those are for knitting. A crochet stitch marker looks like a giant safety pin, or you can use a regular safety pin. Simply insert the pin into the stitch in the same place you would insert your hook to make a stitch, and close it. When you get to that stitch again, take the pin out and move it up to the next row.

How do you front post double crochet in the corresponding stitch 2 rows below in crocheting?

At the stitch you want to have a front post, you do a normal double crochet, except you drop down to the 2nd row down to insert your hook. When you pull it through, hold your yarn loosely in your left hand and gently pull it up to the level of the row you are currently working on.

How do you pick up a dropped stitch when knitting?

Generally in crochet, you don't have "dropped" stitches, that is a knitting term for stitches which have been skipped (accidentally), or which have actually dropped off the needle when you weren't looking. To pick up a knitted dropped stitch, you knit to where the "hole" is in your current row, then using a crochet hook, hook each stitch to the row above. (see the videos I have attached as links to this question). In crochet, there are no "dropped" stitches, there are stitches that you missed or skipped. If you realize that you have managed to skip over a stitch, there are a couple things you can do.One would be to decide if having skipped over the stitch are you okay with just leaving it skipped? If so, continue with your project, figuring that if the stitch is skipped, it just shows that it was hand-made, because of the boo-boo's.If you can, you might think about adding a stitch to the current row that you are on. You do that with an "increase." Increase by having the base of two stitches come out of one stitch from the row below, this will increase the current row by one.If you really think that you need to go back and re-work from the skipped stitch, then you can go ahead and frog back (rippit, rippit--get it?), to the skipped stitch and go on with your pattern from there.
