Some of the crops that the ancient Egyptians grew were Barley, Flax, Leeks, Garlic, Beans, Grapes, Figs, Wheat, Onions, Dates, Pomegranates ect. Barley, flax and wheat were their main crops. Barley for making beer (beer was very popular), flax for weaving things such as thongs, baskets, ect. and wheat for bread which was the most common foods often eaten by peasants as it was a cheap and reliable source of food.
