I do not know any specific culture. But there are many people in India, who will not take non-veg food on auspicious occasions. Most of the people hide that they eat non-veg food. Many cultures in India consider that eating non-veg food is a wrong thing. Whole of the rural India live in a notion that eating non-veg food on auspicious occasions is a bad thing. Normally people eat non-veg once or twice in a week, not daily. Staple diet is vegetarian in India for most of the people.
