The ORIGINAL hamburger was invented in a city in northern Germany, Hamburg.

How it was invented:

1. someone put a piece of meat, known as "Frikadelle" inside a piece of bread.

2. The hamburger had been invented

3. Years later, the Americans became intrested in the hamburger and modified it by adding fat, "salad" and changing the type of bread.

4. the American version is the most popular nowadays, served in Mc Donalds and Burger King.
