Do you mean the Thomas Edison Middle School in Meriden Connecticut? If you do I am a student there. If not, ignore this answer. To get into TEMS (Thomas Edison Middle School) you must apply. You should receive a letter in the mail if you live in Meriden, Middletown, Wallingford or Region 13. If you do not live in any of these towns, you can get more info at the school website, www.tedison.aces.org . When you send back the letter with all the info, your name is put into a lottery. Names are picked at random and it is completely fair and having 'connections' will not get you into TEMS.
The purpose of a culture-fair test is to eliminate any social or cultural advantages, or disadvantages, that a person may have due to their upbringing.
