the furthest forward facing cylinder is #1 ,,assuming your engine is probably sideways?it would be probably on the front of engine first cylinder,,or to explain it best almost every v engine has the cylinder banks offset #1 ussually being the furthest forward,,hope that helps
First cylinder in back on the passenger side is number one.
Standing in front of the car it's the cylinder closest to you on the right.
Front of driver side head.
if it is a 4 cylinder the number one is the first cylinder behind the belts and all that stuff. If it is a v6 the number 1 cylinder is the first cylinder behind the belts on the bank closest to the front of the car.
It is the cylinder closest to the belt side of the engine. On a v6 it will be on the rear head.
For the 2.5 4 cylinder, number one is the first cylinder from the passenger side. For the 3.5 V6 cylinder, number one is the first cylinder in back from the passenger the side.
#1 cylinder would be the first one on the drivers side in front.
1----2----3 4----5----6 ---front---
Far passenger side closer to firewall
Number one cylinder for v8 and v6 is always the front cylinder on the head that sticks further out on the front of the engine. The heads are offset on all v6 and v8 engines.
