If not repaired at once you will get water in the oilpan. It can warp the engine head.

More than likely you have a blown head gasket or cracked head. A blown gasket can be repaired by replacing the gasket...if you are talking about the head gasket, then you have to remove the cylinder head from the engine block and replace the gasket that is inbetween them. Cracked heads generally have to be replaced because they are made of aluminum which cannot be repaired permanently once it is cracked.

Blown head gasket, or cracked head. Do not drive as serious engine damage will occur. Head must be removed, and repaired.

Usually when the cylinder head gasket is blown (broken or damaged). It cannot be repaired but has to be replaced with a new head gasket.

If this is a nice car then spend the money and have the blown head gasket repaired before you try to sell it. With a blown head gasket it is only worth what someone will pay. Would you buy a car with a blown head gasket? I sure would not, as there is no way of knowing how much damage has been done. I would not touch this car as it stands now and neither will most people. It is worth very little with the gasket blown.

In most cases yes it will. The coolant will mix with the oil and this will immediately cause damage to engine bearings and rings. STOP driving any car with a blown head gasket. You must have this repaired immediately or you will destroy the engine.

A blown head gasket means the seal around the cylinder heads is leaking. It will leak oil and over heat until the engine seizes unless it is repaired.

It may last but be assured every mile you drive is doing damage. Coolant is a very poor lubricant and driving a car with a blown head gasket for one week will cause serious damage to bearings, rings, and cylinder walls. Park this car until you can have it repaired.

Not very. You should stop and get it repaired ASAP.

Water in the oil is a sure sign of a blown head gasket. Stop driving this car until you have this repaired or you will do serious engine damage.

Possible blown head gasket. Stop driving this car until you have this repaired or serious engine damage will occur.

There's only one way to repair a blown head gasket and that is to replace the gasket. You must also check to make sure that the head is not cracked or warped If it is the head will either have to be replaced or machined depending on the severity of the damage.

Either you have a leak at the reservoir, or someplace else in your cooling system. You may also have a bad water pump that is leaking. And lastly you may have a blown head gasket that can be very serious. Find this leak ASAP. If you find you have a blown head gasket, stop driving the vehicle until it is repaired. what are you asking here? PLease be more specific ...like - how do I know if my head gasket is blown, or what do I do about a blown head gasket ......

Sure it will start with a blown head gasket. But, if you continue to run this engine with a blown head gasket you will destroy the engine.

No it will not. The only thing that will fix a blown head gasket is to replace the gasket.

Replace it , meaning the cracked head or the gasket . Neither can be repaired . The head can be repaired if its only warped from overheating by having it surfaced . It is best on the 8 valve or the 16 valve engines to replace with new parts.

Along with the head gasket you often get warping of the head. Coolant will get mixed with the oil causing engine bearing and ring damage if the car was driven after the head gasket blew. If you continue to drive the car you will eventually ruin the engine.

There are several possible indications of a blown head gasket: If the head gasket is blown between adjacent cylinders there will be poor or no compression in either cylinder. Poor compression in any cylinder can be caused by a blown head gasket. That condition can also be caused by a burned valve or piston. Coolant in the crank case can be caused by a blown head gasket. Compression in the coolant can be caused by a blown head gasket. An engine with a blown head gasket usually loses performance and runs poorly or not at all.
