Charles Frederick Malam was my grandfather. He was married 1 August 1931 in Brooklyn NY to Muriel Jane Harris. Charles was born in S. Ryegate, VT in 1906 and died in Brooklyn in 1981. He was a Rhodes Scholar from Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT. Charles & Muriel had 2 daughters, Jane and Margaret. My mother was Jane (b. 1933, d. 2001). Charles had 5 books published - 3 poetry and 2 novels. He was the first undergraduate at Middlebury to have a book published. One of his novels was published in England, while he was at Oxford. Sue
