It would be impossible to say. Especially if you define a wooden club, as any stout piece of wood that could be swung like a club.

A museum in Cadiz, Spain has stone ax heads on display, that are clearly man-made. They could not be randomly broken rock. The oldest one that I recall was 500,000 years old. The art of making such things may seem very simple and crude if you have never done it before. However, if you try it, you find that it requires a surprisingly high degree of sophistication.

It seems logical to me, that a wooden club, would therefore be much much older than 500,000 years ago.

Humans are certainly not the only animals that use tools. I think that you will find that chimpanzees and the like occasionally use a piece of wood in a 'club like' manner. So, I assume that, depending on your definitions, the invention of a wooden club, must go back millions of years.
