The Economic Stimulation Package rebate payments will begin to roll out on May 2nd and continue every Friday thereafter. The first people to receive money are thoes who: filed a 2007 tax return -and- received a refund -and- had their refund directly deposited into a bank account. On May 16th the paper checks start hitting the mail. You will receive a paper check if you either had no tax liability (as with recipients of social security as their only income) -or- you paid a balance due to the us treasury dept -or- you had a deposit at a third party bank (such as with a money now loan or a refund anticipation loan). he payments are made in a loose sequencial order, if the last 2 didgits of your social security number (or your spouse's ss number if married filing jointly and spouses name is first on the return) is 00 you check will be mailed in the first week. If the last 2 digits of your ss number are 99 you can expect a check in late July. There is a chart on the IRS website that will let you know exactly when to expect yours. The IRS website also has a calculator that will tell you the amount your check will be based on the information you enter in from your 2007 tax return.
