It depends on what level of education. Most colleges and universities require that an instructor must have at least a Masters degree and have taken a graduate course in the area he/she will be teaching.

In order to teach marketing I would imagine that one must have a degree in Advertisement, Communications, and if they're teaching graduate school then it would have to be a master's. You can research teaching degrees, specialized "marketing" degrees, etc.

you can teach at a junior college and, I believe, four year colleges with a master's degree, but you need a doctorate degree to teach at a university. the rule of thumb is that you need a degree beyond the degree in which the courses you are teaching leads to!
