The kinetic energy of a moving object is calculated with the formula E = ½ M v ^2.

So to calculate the KE of a 1000-kilogram car moving at 20 metres per second (45 mph) the formula works like this:

KE = ½ x 1000 x 20^2 Joules = 500 x 400 Joules or 200,000 J.

Is Ohio safe place to live?

Ohio can take time to get used to. If you are used to the rolling hills of The Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland, you'll find Northern Ohio much flatter. Southern Ohio is more like the Appalachian countryside. Most Ohio towns are small and old, with narrower streets and turn of the century (1880s-1900s) architecture. Once focused on coal and steel industries, Ohio has turned more to hospitality and technology. However, farming and agriculture remains an Ohio staple for occupation and production. If you enjoy lake influenced snow and bitter temps at times, stay north. If you prefer mountains and farming, stay south. Mid-northern and central areas have some of the best hospitals and medical school in the northeast USA.

What is the meaning of the phrase the people keep a comin but the train done gone from the song Mary had a baby?

People ignored and reviled Jesus when He was in the body 2,000 years ago, but after He died more and more people began to realize Who He was, but by then it was too late to meet Him in the body: they had 'missed the train'. Of course it is never too late to meet Him in the spirit, but the powerful experience of meeting the Christ in the body has to wait until His coming again. I believe that God does incarnate as the Christ approximately every 700 to 1400 years, and that He has come again twice since the Advent of the historical Jesus. Every time He comes, the majority of people do not recognize Him, until gradually, after hundreds of years, a large body of followers throughout the world recognize Who He was, and another religion is formed. His proclamation of Universal Love gradually turns into a religion and then ossifies into a dry husk of rituals and dogmas, of 'us versus them'... and then it is time for Him to come again.
