if the baby is in the right position a sonographer can usually tell what the sex is at your 22 week sonogram. they say if you carry the baby high it is a girl and if you carry a baby low it is a boy. that was how it was for me , but i wouldn't rely on it. with my son i carried really low and all out front and with my daughter i carried high and wide( she is the reason i now have love handles) also alot of women "just know". trust your instincts!!!!
The X and Y chromosomes, since girls have two X chromosomes it's all up to the dad's sperm to determine if it is a boy or a girl. A double X is a female "XX" and a "XY" is male
I believe the father of the baby determines the sex of the baby.
The chromosome in the male's gamete determines the gender of the baby. If it is a Y chromosome, the baby will be a boy. If the chromosome is a X, the baby will be a girl.
Yes, the male determines the sex of a baby. He possesses the either X or Y chromosome. The X is a girl I believe & the Y is a boy, I'm pretty sure that that's what they stand for. I'm positive that the male determines the sex of a baby though.
The sex chromosomes...XX for a female, XY for a male, with some other relatively rare variations.
The genes that determines gender can be found in the Y chromosome.
Chromosome pair 23 determines the gender of a human. These chromosomes will either be two X's for females, or an X and a Y for males.
No. The male determines the sex. A female has 2 X chromosomes, while a man has an X and a Y. A woman can only give an X, but a man can give an X or a Y, thus making the sperm cells the determining factor.
