I believe it's random, but the people that show up on the Friendslist on your FB profile page are probably people that you don't talk to, or initiate FB contact with much. They're there to remind you to 'reconnect' with eachother.

∙ 14y agoAt default it is set to random so it will just display whatever friends it wants.
You can change this though, just click on the edit button (which looks like a pencil)

∙ 13y agoNothing, it is completely random, it just selects a few of your friends profile pictures and shows you them, the it changes each time.
