What are the three types of machines used in manual metal arc welding?

I am not sure your question is clear enough but here I go... Stick Arc Welding (AC or DC), MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tunsten Inter Gas). All three of these are the basic metal welding machines.

What is manual arc welding?

Everybody used to call it "stick welding". MMAW Manual Metal Arc Welding is the correct nomenclature. The "sticks" are electrodes held in an electrode holder connected to a power supply. Establish an arc between the end of the electrode and the metal and move across the joint. As you weld the electrode is consumed. Discard the "stub", insert a new electrode and continue.

What are welding sparks called?

The 'welding sparks' that come off during welding are metal particles from the filler metal, electrode, or base metal that are lost during welding. The standard term is spatter.

What are smaw welding?

smaw welding is sheilded metal arc welding

What is the temperature of welding arc to weld metal?

Depends on the metal, but for steel it is hot enough to melt the steel- and steel melts at 2600-2800 degrees F.

What is CO2 welding?

CO2 welding is a welding process that uses carbon dioxide to protect the weld pool from oxidisation during the welding process. It is also known as Metal Inert Gas(MIG), Manual Arc Gas Shielded(MAGS), welding. CO2 is not the only gas used, it needs to be heavier than air to work. The weld pool is, a pool of weld or liquid/molten metal that solidifies as one when finished welding, it is usually between two items so as to fuse the pieces together. CO2 welding uses a long coil of filler wire that is fed in through the handheld torch, this filler wire melts as it completes the electrical circuit by means of an electric arc which reaches temperature of around 3100 degrees Celsius, and unsurprisingly this melts the metal.

What is a base metal in welding?

A base metal is also called the Parent metal. It is that metal in the welding practice that has been cut by the various forms of cutting, then prepared and is to be welded. Welding is performed to join one section of the base metal to another section of base metal by means of the various welding processes, e.g. SMAW(Shielded Metal Arc Welding) where welding welding rods are used, GTAW(Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) where Tig wire is used, FCAW(Flux Cored Arc Welding) etc. The welding rods, the TIG wires etc are called the filler metals, for they fill the weld gaps by depositing their molten-state weld metals.

How will you stick metal to another metal?

welding.
