PSP-1000, PSP-2000, PSP-3000.
The PSP has no slot for UMD discs, it cannot read them at all.
Generally, PCs do not have UMD readers, so generally no.
You mean UMD's Yea? Well you go to games on the psp menu then click on UMD
you get your psp seviced at sony corporation
The PSP's drive can only read UMD discs.
To get it to read UMD (don't take off the plastic casing) you have to put it in the disk compartment then it should read it and that's that If it doesn't read it you have a problem.
It could be the lazer that reads the disc is broken or damaged. Or the issue could be the umd itself or the firmware. I'd say send it in to sony and get it repaired. If your psp knows the umd is there but won't let you start the game the chances are the lazer is damaged or the disc is too dirty. If it lets you start the game then crashes and says the umd can't be read then could be the disc reader or the disc. First try cleaning the umd if that doesn't help then it's probably the psp. My psp 3000 has never had that but if the problem is the psp, send it in.
