Adam and Eve made a huge mistake with eating from the tree of knowledge.
Although they were naked from the start, God made them aware of it.
So then, not only did they commit a sin by disobeying God, but they were now even more shameful for being naked. They hid from God to try and cover their sins.
Once Adam and Eve sinned and fell in sin, they realized that they were naked and covered their bodies with fig leaves.
Adam did not try to hide his sin of disobedience from God. He tried to hide himself from God after realizing what he had done.
The third line from the saying "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me" is "fool me twice, shame on me."
You say "Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me!"This means, if you play a trick on me and I fall for it, shame on you for fooling me. But if you play a trick on me and I fall for it again, then shame on me for being foolish.
You say "Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me!"This means, if you play a trick on me and I fall for it, shame on you for fooling me. But if you play a trick on me and I fall for it again, then shame on me for being foolish.
The full saying is "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." It means that being tricked or deceived once is the fault of the person who tricked you, but if you allow it to happen again, then you are also at fault for not learning from the mistake.

fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me.
The Bible has much to say on this subject. It is "summarized," as it were, by James 1:15 - Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. [NKJV]That is not what the bible say about sin: it says that All have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD Romans 3:23 and that is saying that once Adam sinned all that was born after him has sinned once they was born but the only person that didn't sin is Jesus Christ the son of God [KJV]
basically, once you fall for something, you should be smart enough not to fall for it again.the second time, it's your fault for not catching on.
Life is not perfect because Adam sinned and we inherited the consequences of his disobedience. He was created perfect; once he sinned he lost the mark of perfection and the punishment for sin was death. Rom 5:12 (That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned---. 13 For until & (Rom 6:23 For the wages sin pays is death.) Mankind would be perfect and so would the world, but because of Adam we are inclined to do bad and our bodies brake down, deteriorate and we grow old, get sick and die.
I could be mistaken, but I believe it is: "Wiggle it once, shame on you. Wiggle it twice, shame on me." Loosely translated, of course.
fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. After two times. That's it.
